2026 SMLA Annual Meeting
Smith Mountain Lake Association (SMLA) will hold its Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 24. Everyone with an interest in Smith Mountain Lake is encouraged to attend.
Annual Meeting Details
Date: September 24
Time: 5:30-7:30 PM (Doors open at 5:30 PM, Meeting starts at 6:15 PM and adjourns by 7:30 PM)
Location: Resurrection Catholic Church, 15353 Moneta Rd, Moneta, VA 24121
- Exhibits will highlight SMLA programs and partner organizations
- Light refreshments will be provided during the exhibits
- Presentation begins at 6:15
- Special guest speaker: David Bulova, Virginia Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources
- Meeting will adjourn by 7:30

We are thrilled to welcome David Bulova, Virginia Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources. Secretary Bulova oversees vital state departments including Environmental Quality, Conservation and Recreation, Wildlife Resources, Historic Resources, and Marine Resources. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear updates directly affecting our region.
Where to Park
The meeting take place in the event space accessed from the lower level of the building. When you arrive at Resurrection Catholic Church, take an immediate right (before you cross the front of the building) to access the parking spots nearest the door. You can park anywhere in the church parking lot, but you will only be able to enter from the door on the right side lower level of the building.
