Volunteer Spotlight: Peter and Chris Brinckerhoff

Peter and Chris Brinckerhoff moved to SML in August 2007 and the following spring they volunteered as water quality monitors. They are also early and late season water quality monitors and one of four dock watch volunteers that share the Contentment Island watch area.

Chris is a retired special ed teacher. She has served on SML Good Neighbors Board for12 years and recently joined the board of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Preschool.

Peter is a Virginia Master Naturalist and for 15 years served as a Save Our Streams volunteer.

Chris and Peter have been deeply involved in their Contentment Island community in various roles. They became SMLA members as soon as they moved here and value what the association does for the beautiful lake and the community.
