Membership Survey Results Are In!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent member survey. Here’s what we learned:

• The majority of members joined SMLA to make a positive impact in the community and to be part of a meaningful cause.
• Overall satisfaction with SMLA membership is an impressive 4.55 out of 5.
• More than 97% of members rated our communication as good or excellent.
• 95% value our efforts to keep the lake clean, while 71% value our work to keep the lake safe.
• 88% stay connected through email, 37% through our website, and 21% via social media.
• When it comes to enjoying SML, 95% love boating most, 34% enjoy fishing and social groups, and 28% appreciate vacationing at the lake.
• 62% have been members for four or more years.
• 67% are full-time residents, while 33% are part-time.
• Membership by county: Franklin (69%), Bedford (29%), and Pittsylvania (2%).
• 91% members are lakefront property owners.
