Vessel Safety Check Dates and Locations Announced

Americas Boating Club – SML  (the SML Power Squadron) has announced the schedule for free vessel safety checks. Boaters are invited to come to any of these events to get a friendly, free check of their onboard safety equipment.

In addition to the organized events, boat owners can make arrangements for individual or community inspections by contacting Wheeler Baker (wheelerbaker@gmail.com).

A vessel safety check ensures that you meet state and federal requirements for documentation and safety equipment. America’s Boating Club certified vessel safety examiners will be happy to discuss additional safety considerations with you. You will get a written report and a decal that shows you passed the safety check.

This is not a law enforcement issue. No citations will be or can be given as a result of this interaction between you and the vessel examiner.
